"The Kiss" was created using a drybrush technique and layering of acrylic paint. At first, I experimented with the entire piece in a cool color palette of blues and purples. But in the end, I decided a warm background would compliment the figures nicely and create an interesting contrast. It's as if the couple is enveloped in a calm sea of blue as their passion burns in fiery hues around them.
