These two cows finish up July's pasture theme... "Piece 30" was a lot of fun to paint. I used some extra texture in the grass, and a pastel color palette. I like the contrasting body language of each cow, with one grazing and one looking into the distance. There's a ying and yang to them, yet they seem to fit together.
I look forward to next Sunday when I'll introduce a brand new theme for the month of August! See you then...

Every week I feel like I'm posting my new favorite. Below you will find the latest original artwork, "Piece 29", a lone cow grazing in a tropical paradise. I think the unexpected jolt of red in the palette is an interesting contrast against the silhouette of the cow.
As we move towards August, I'm contemplating next month's theme. Keep an eye out for something fragrant...

I've been very inspired by cows lately, so it's looking like July might be dedicated to les bovines. But for those who are not cow-crazy, patience my friends... I am changing themes from month to month. Below is this week's brand new original painting, "Piece 28". I have also posted my inspiration for this whimsical painting, a photo taken in Hana by my Dad. Enjoy!
